There are different ways of counting the hours.
Swarms (my venture in music and time with Petter Berntsen, Bjeima and qERiq) released the album "The Silver Hour" through Unreality and Vendlus in 2008. Being a dark ride into pleasant unpleasantness - we have yet to read a bad review of this album and KALIGLIMMER (whom recently reviewed my K100 album) has now posted a magnificent one here.

Is there perhaps something resembling a future for this kind of music in Norway?

Kim Sølve.

The Vault of Apparitions
K100, my electronic/ambient/industrial/meditative music project since 2001, has not gotten much exposure so far. Probably due to its dark nature which the average listener might find unsettling or off-putting or simply to the fact that this kind of music does not have a very large crowd out there. However, as with the fresh review that can be read here, sometimes a seldom gleam of light hits these shores as well. It is with great pleasure I read how Kaliglimmers reviewer has taken the time needed to sink properly into the material. The feeling of ones work being seen/heard, understood and appreciated is genuinely uplifting.

KALIGLIMMER is a new Norwegian blog/zine by people whom has earlier written for Heathen Harvest. In a country too much ruled by either Metal magazines, a very mainstream pop business and an often academic or noise oriented experimental scene, people into more darker, perhaps even gothicly inclined experimental music has had few places to get their fix. Kaliglimmer is therefore very much welcome presence.

Another norwegian dark music enthusiast - writer Didrik Söderlind - wrote about K100 in his blog some time ago. Read what he had to say here.

K1oo's first album "The Vault of Apparitions" is out on NEUROPA now. In Oslo the album is available at SHADOWLAND.

Visit K100's Myspace here.

Yours,
Kim Sølve

"Crossover artists 2010"
Trine + Kim design studio are featured in the latest issue of Norwegian design magazine SNITT. "Crossoverartisten anno 2010" is an 8 page article about crossover artists - people working beyond traditional boundaries and across a wide range of disciplines. The article focuses on Trine + Kim design studio as well as Trines Psykosedyr project and Kim Sølves Unreality art project, his music projects, music for performing arts and Adversum, his suicidal record label project.

What Kind Of An Animal Are You?
It does not matter much as long as you know how to let it come out for some fresh air and peepee sometimes. A nice occasion to show your inner animal will be on this forthcoming saturday on the release party of the new CD by our dear friend Koyote. This is a single evening release party/exhibition/concert/performance/celebration with several crazies involved, including yours truly.

Trine will be exhibiting a rather big drawing from her parallel dimension Psykosedyr which some of you know well by now. Kim will exhibit a couple of reworked images from the ever expanding and always darkening Unreality (the project also including the music projects Swarms and K100). Some of it will be for sale.

It will be possible to buy lots of Psykosedyr stuff; the "Sex, Murder, Art" CD, Kaniinjas, 2 different shirts and a postcard set. Unreality will be selling Swarms' "The Silver Hour" CD and a postcard collection (5 cards). You should also make sure to pick up a copy (or two) of Koyote's “Trojan Gift Horse”.

Here's the official info:

Exhibition open from 16.00, performance & concerts from 21.30.
No age limit, suggested donation at the door.

A celebration of our animal nature and the joke at the heart of all things. Of connections and differences, spirals and circles, spaces for change and the spaces for rest. Of the contextual and the constant, the many points of balance, and the magic of the gift.
Dust off your tails, pick up your ears, fluff out your feathers and come out to play!

Release party for Koyote’s new CD “Trojan Gift Horse” and Bård Tjelta’s new collection of drawings “Let me die in the forest”.

Exhibition of Bård’s original drawings and artwork by Kim Sølve & Trine Paulsen, Red Fox, Wolfrunner, Olga Deer & Burugla Hushaien.

Live music and performance by Koyote and GiraffeGirl.
